Meet Liam McManus

Peak Practice is led by Liam McManus, Consultant Podiatrist, healthcare entrepreneur and strategic advisor. Liam currently serves as Head of Podiatry at Aspetar Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital, one of the world's leading elite sports medicine hospitals, where he leads specialist podiatry services supporting elite athletes and professional footballers. He also holds a CASE-accredited qualification in Podiatric Medical Ultrasound.

Having successfully developed a multi-site podiatry practice and ultimately sold the business to a private equity-backed organisation in 2025, Liam understands the realities of business ownership firsthand — the challenges of managing growth, recruiting and retaining talented staff, balancing clinical and commercial demands, navigating uncertainty and building a business that creates long-term value.

Alongside private practice ownership, Liam has led the development and transformation of both NHS and independent podiatry services, helping organisations improve service delivery, operational efficiency and patient outcomes.

He also provides independent expert witness services, supporting solicitors, insurers and legal professionals with objective, evidence-informed opinion on matters relating to podiatry, lower limb pathology and musculoskeletal practice.

From 2023–2026, he served as an elected Member of Council and Non-Executive Director of the Royal College of Podiatry, contributing to the strategic direction, governance and advancement of the profession.

Through Peak Practice, Liam combines commercial insight, clinical expertise and strategic leadership to help organisations achieve sustainable growth, operational excellence and measurable outcomes.
